As a way to get to know each other, bond, contribute to the comm, and all that lovely jazz, I pose the question; what is the best film you've ever seen screened in class, or never would have heard about if it hasn't been for school?
Personally, there's been a lot of things I've loved watching in class, but recently speaking, I'd have to say
Man Bites Dog. It's a really bizarre, hilarious, disturbing Belgian mockumentary about some filmmakers following around a serial killer. The killer himself is actually pretty vain, charming, and hilarious, so you tend to laugh along with him and excuse all his horrible actions until things get serious. Instead of being funny, it ends up being shocking. It's a really great movie, and it addresses the public's fascination with murderers and violence a lot better than Natural Born Killers does, in my opinion.
So what about everyone else?
