I'm using a really simple cheap camera

What you need to do is go to triple D or ruby or other photo shops that I'm not sure of to buy slide films. they are not your normal negative films..

after shooting, ask to cross process it and you'll get these rich colours.

different slide films have different effects.

you can digitally cross-process it, but i don't know how. i suppose you could google it.
