Computery stuff

Aug 29, 2005 18:47

As I'm leaving soon and taking my computer with me, my parents went out this weekend and bought one of their own. I'm happy to say that my influence has been a positive one -- they went with an iMac. I even went with them to pick it out. I was so proud.

I'm telling you this partially because I'm a nerd, but also partially because it means that my computer (very similar to the one I'm on now, only this one is running Tiger and has a smaller screen) is now packed away, awaiting transport to Portland. This means no more porn until I move, but the reason you should care is that it also means no more AIM until I move.

But, of course, I won't have Internet in my new apartment right away. I'm going to wait for a little while and see what my monthly financial situation looks like before I sign up for any Internet service. So, while I will still be able to answer my e-mail and be on Live Journal (I'll be able to get Internet access at work), it won't be quite as often, and you won't see me on any instant messenger programs for a good long while. Many of you have my phone number, though. Those of you who don't, feel free to e-mail me and ask for it.

This Public Service Announcment has been brought to you by my mom's computer.

4 more days of work. 9 more days of Sacramento.
