Mark, seeing as how the producers of One Tree Hill are also the producers of Smallville, is there a better chance of an actor or actress from Smallville having a guest spot on One Tree Hill (if they were a good fit for the character of course.)?
If so, I just want to put something out there for you all to think about... Jensen Ackles (who joined the Smallville cast this season as Jason Teague) is incredible. I could picture him going well with all the characters, especially Brooke. He's a great actor, very versatile and talented. Plus he's already familiar with Wilmington thanks to his stint on Dawson's Creek. If you guys ever chose to use him, especially more than once, I will worship you and the ground you walk on even more than I do now forever. Since I live in Wilmington and missed him when he was here for DC. (I moved right after the show ended!)
Ashley’s crushed out on Jensen Ackles. Pass it around. I have to say, ever since the early days of OTH, the spectre of Dawson’s has loomed, so I actually try to avoid casting people who were on Dawson’s in any substantial way. Yes, Chad was on Dawson’s, but I mean in regards to guest stars, etc. Now then, Emmanuelle (who played Nicki) was on Smallville and we would’ve cast Sarah Carter (who is now on Smallville, I think) if her Canadian work visa would’ve been in order. (She probably would’ve been Simone and we may have expanded that role.) That said, once in a while we’ll find someone because Tollin Robbins has worked with them before. That’s actually how we found Sophia Bush. She had a done a pilot for TR that didn’t get picked up by ABC and I really liked her. We brought her in for Brooke, knowing that if she connected with the part she was going to get it because TR already had a relationship with her and knew she was pretty great as a person.

Stupid Dawson's Creek. I hate it. I kick it, and spit in it's general direction. Also I wasn't aware my crush was a secret....
In honor of this I am straying from my usual use of default icon to use the one my lovely friend angel_grace made for me. All praise directed at her please!
