Recommendations
Today I have some recommendations. 1 Movie, 1 Book, and 1 CD.
The Movie:
The movie I've chosen to speak of is called S.W.A.T. it stars Colin Farrell, Samuel L. Jackson, and L.L. Cool J. I loved it. It's funny, it's cool, it's action packed.
The Book:
The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger. One of the few classics I can actually stand. It's timeless. Everyone needs to read it. Nuff said.
The CD:
"Calendar Days" by The Rocket Summer. The Rocket Summer is actually Bryce Avary. Who is awesome. This is emo guys, it's fantastic, it's poppy and soul felt with a wonderful punk/garage band undertone. I love it. Think Get Up Kids meets Jason Mraz, only hotter and cooler. The songs make me think of TV Shows like The O.C., Gilmore Girls, and One Tree Hill. I can picture them using them to set moods. I particularly like the song "Skies So Blue," which has a very The O.C. feel too it. It also sounds kind of Rooney-ish. The one song I can't get over on the CD though is the last one. "TV Family" which for some reason makes me think not of my family, but of my friend B. *shrug* But I love it anyway. The Rocket Summer's songs are a great pick me up when you're down, or a great accompaniment for those sunny, happy days when everything seems to be going right. CHECK THEM OUT! Now, run don't walk. GO!
