First off, I must say this is my favourite Scorsese [really not a fan at all otherwise, actually] and my favourite comedy [yes it is a comedy if you cannot tell by the stills, heh] of all time. The Kafka-esque style and happenings make me squeal with delight with every viewing. If you haven't seen it do so immediately.

1. i like to think of you squealing with delight.

2. i was going to cap and post this, i'm glad you did, though, because it's just better than what i would have done. i think the part where he went to the john's house was my favorite, i couldn't stop laughing. just the thought of having to explain that night...

3. (this is probably spoiler-y for those who haven't seen the film) why did marcy have the burn ointment/books and why did her roommate tell him she did? because she clearly doesn't when we see her dead body. explain please, i'm sure i missed something.

I thought of it as a kind of surreal scene, with a lot of irony thrown in.
