As I posted earlier, I'm now involved with Rampway.org, GSU's student run online magazine. Last week, I was made editor of the Technology section, and our first issue of the year was posted today. I only wrote two articles about Apple's press releases, but check out the rest of the site anyway ( Read more... )

I looooved Grosse Point so much, and still have all the episodes. I could make love to them they are so good.

But no "Popular" on your list? Sadness!

See, I considered Popular, especially First Season Popular. First Season Popular was brilliant -- but the last half of the second season was just, I don't know -- not that great. It would make the Top 20 -- but not the Top 10. Grosse Pointe was so awesome...alas, it suffered the same evil as Popular Season 2: Friday Night Time-slot. Because really, what teeneagers watch TV on Friday nights?

Oh my... I came on here to ask you where the hell "Popular" was... and someone beat me to it.

I am so there with you on My So Called Life and Twin Peaks.

For sheer camp value... I would have also listed on mine something truly rancid yet delicious... like Models Inc or The Colbys... because we gotta represent Tori's daddy.

MODELS INC.!!! See, you, me, and my roommate my firt two years of college were the only people who loved that show. Hell, we were probably the only three people that watched it.

That show was a classic. Five models from vastly different backgrounds all picked to live in the same house and have their lives taped... riding high on the THEN success of MTV's The Real World. A murder mystery to kick things off. Julie Dante and Grayson Louder were perfect bitch names. And the sheer campiness of having portly Cassidy Rae passing for a supermodel who gets more primo modeling gigs than the Matrix's Carrie-Anne Moss. Are ya kidding me?

I blame the show's failure solely on the poor stunt casting on the decrepid Linda Gray. She was fab in "Dallas", but she jumped her shark YEARS before Aaron called her.

Yeah -- Linda "don't look nothing like Amanda" Gray was NOT good -- and poor Emma Samms wasn't much better.

Julie (Kylie Travis or whoever -- she was in Gia) was the BEST. And yes, having Cassidy Rae's Sara be the "next hot thing" while Carrie-Anne Moss (wasn't her model name Carrie too?)is playing the "over the hill" 26-year old (who got sentenced to life in prostitute hell in the series finale) who is scrounging for work was hilarious to me back in 1994/1995 -- and you gotta remember, I was like 11 when that show premiered. Fantastic. Unfortunately, like "Swan's Crossing" and "Central Park West" -- it was just too campy to attract an audience (although I missed CPK...it was pre-Tivo and I had elementary school to attend).

You have excellent taste, so I will take that hug. ^-^

I'm not sure if you have the DVD's of the show, but on the commentary, the actors who played Brooke, Josh and Mary Cherry are trying to remember the actresses name who played April Tuna.... and they can't remember. So clearly she was like April Tuna in real life too. ;)

Yeah, king dork here... bought BOTH DVD boxsets... on the DAY they each were released....

And yeah, I think I remember something like that. Poor April.

Although I was watching SOMETHING (can't for the life of me remember what) and that April actress was playing a woman all-growed-up and she didn't look half as hideous as April, although it looks like she got her teeth did.

I have excellent taste? Ooohhh lala, why dontcha friend me big fella?

April Tuna reigns supreme, new teefies or not!

You've been added, fine sir! =Þ

Yeah and the other reason I am King Dork... I get that little pang of giddies whenever I add a new friend.

(Welcome to the insanity of my ramblings, I apologize to your friends page in advance for what lies under the locks, haha)
