Someone at absolute_movies posted this question, and I thought it was an interesting one.

What are your top five films from your top five directors?

Billy Wilder
1. The Apartment
2. Sunset Blvd.
3. Some Like It Hot
4. Double Indemnity
5. Sabrina

Alfred Hitchcock
1. Shadow of a Doubt
2. Rear Window
3. The 39 Steps
4. Notorious
5. Psycho

Stanley Kubrick
1. A Clockwork Orange
2. Dr. Strangelove, Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
3. Barry Lyndon
4. 2001: A Space Odyssey
5. The Shining

Kenneth Branagh
1. A Midwinter's Tale
2. Much Ado About Nothing
3. Peter's Friends
4. Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (no laughing, I love this movie)
5. Henry V

Then, I kinda have a three or four way tie for last place. Problem is, there are a number of directors I really love, but I haven't necessarily seen five movies of theirs. So... consider it my top four favorite directors, and the rest are all runners-up:

Orson Welles
1. The Magnificent Ambersons
2. Citizen Kane
3. The Lady from Shanghai

William Wyler
1. Dodsworth
2. The Heiress
3. Jezebel
4. Wuthering Heights

Alexander Payne
1. Election
2. Sideways
3. About Schmidt

Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger
1. I Know Where I'm Going!
2. The Red Shoes
3. The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp

M. Night Shyamalan
1. The Sixth Sense
2. Unbreakable
3. The Village
4. Lady in the Water
5. Signs

Peter Jackson
1. LotR Trilogy (seriously, it's just one long movie)
2. Heavenly Creatures
