Day 2-145--I love how people talk about other people's
full Medicare bill.
Supposedly this woman has paid in only 1500 dollars, lifetime. I have no idea what that means. For me, on Medicare, I pay one third to one half of my discretionary income for medical treatment, drugs, and insurance every month. If anyone who wants to raise the cost of Medicare 500 a month, then, all but 1/3 to 1/4 of my discretionary money would go to medical care costs.
It would break me and bankrupt most older Medicare recipients on SS.
So, I'm not much on Paul Ryan. I am for line item veto, going through Medicare to see what can reasonably get cut and needs to be, not just giving everyone vouchers. Our systems in this country are broken. It's probably going to get worse before it gets better.
A budget for a home cannot work unless there is revenue and cuts that keep it balanced. I want someone who will work to solve problems, knows that taxes have to go up while we are cutting spending. I am going to have to pay more than I already do for my health care, but don't break me. I pay half of the costs of my drugs, but am staying fairly healthy except for chronic stuff, none of which is life threatening.
A 12 per cent approval rating for Congress doesn't say much for trust which is almost non-existent in our government.
Pray, people, send energy, whatever your higher power is for all governments all over the world.
