wow, that term needs to come back. i just got home from seeing "mean girls" and before you laugh at me, it was really entertaining. relatively annoying at parts, but what mindless teeny-bopper movie isn't? molly and i did come to the realization that hollywood highschool is basically college without all the buildings. think about it, it makes sense. and the main male character's name was aaron, so that made me happy :-)
speaking of which, i miss him like crazy. he hasn't been feeling well, and might need surgery soon. it's absolutely killing me that i can't be there for him. i'd probably just be in the way and i couldn't really do anything anyways. i'm trying really hard to be positive and not let him know how much i miss him so i don't upset him, but i don't think i'm doing a very good job. last night when "our" shows went off, i actually almost started talking to him like he was there, out of habit. i'll get used to it, i know, but it still stinks. 15 hours and 877 miles isn't that far, right? for the first time, something actually really seems right and i can't stand that circumstances are trying to mess it all up. i'll be damned if i let them that easily. and by the way, my new icon is a picture he took at the NYSfair this year, before i would admit that we were together. he won me the blue fishie :-D
another thing that stinks. the plumbing in my house. or, right now, lackthereof. my shower has had this funny quirk for years. sometimes when i shower, water drips in the laundry room downstairs, but it was only occasionally so no one really worried about it. i get home from west virginia today and go in there, and there's this HUGE puddle on the floor. the ceiling in the area above is soaked, and the wall in the bathroom upstairs right next to my shower is also drenched. whoopee, leaky pipe somewhere in the wall. so, the water to the upstairs bathrooms is shut off. i'm not amused by this. at all. something about my family and working bathrooms don't mix.
i should be sleeping instead of doing this. not that i ever sleep through the night anyways. someone should tell the critters (and by critters i mainly mean cicadas) that they are NOT nocturnal. i think they're a bit confused.
