Today I am in school to learn the latest, on the cutting edge technology.
And yet today I wonder if we've taken a huge step backwards.
In the next ten years, I will be able to create websites and programs to help others explore the digital world.
But in the next ten years, there won't be the technology to save my (future) child. All of the data, the information, the materials will be there. But no one will know how to do it. No one will do it.
Because a group of people decided that it was immoral to use my child's own stem cells -- that I had wanted to save -- to regenerate part of his defective heart.
It all boils down to what we are afraid of.
So, what are we afraid of?
