One of W's many problems

Listening to NPR I was reminded of a line from a movie that explained one of W's many problems.  The interviewer questioned the wisdom of having a Navy general as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs when we are involved in a couple of land wars in Asia.  "Land wars in Asia," I thought, "something about that phase sounds familiar." And then the light bulb went off...

"You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous in 'Never get involved in a land war in Asia,' but only slightly less well known is this: 'Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.'" -The Princess Bride

This explains something.
