Emotionally busy afternoon. This just seemed a thing.

A little beat up, but marvelous. Played our last show with Susan as a full time member of the band this weekend. The opening of a new gaming store/space even. It was marvelous. Moving gear ... not so much. And we have started looking for funding for the new CD.

Today we're going to the pool, and not much else.

Are you feeling better?

Feeling better. Congested a bit still, but way the heck better than Friday, and not coughing and sniffling constantly. (That, and just being exhausted, was really why I bowed out of InCon. Can't breathe, can't sing.)

Meh, doing OK. Last day of vacation before going back to work. Next day off is reserved for Musecon which starts at 1pm. I'm going to try to do some cooking this afternoon so my chores tonight are easier to handle. I'll be attempting to make this thing called Hangover Soup from an episode of Diners Drive-ins and Dives but I'm missing some ingredients so it will likely just be just ordinary soup. I made some sweet bars for my gaming group yesterday. One person liked them. Everyone else said they looked too sweet (3 kinds of chips, marshmallows, sweetened condensed milk, pretzels, and vinigier potato chips). OK so they had a point. I have to cut them up into smaller pieces and bring to work tomorrow.

I hope you're feeling better. You said you were emotionally busy. Maybe you should try to unplug from the news to help you calm down and focus on getting better.

Actually, I was unplugged from a lot of the news. No, other people were emoting at me, and I took their pain and despair and from them created a monstrosity that will shatter worl- erm, I held a few virtual hands and then went back to bed. :) Honestly, mostly friends and family worried about Me Being Sick Oh No, me assuring them I had food and pharmaceuticals and was not about to keel over.

Good luck with the Hangover Soup. Yow! I just checked the recipe at foodnetwork.com, and that has... a whole lot of flavors trying to hang out together.

At this point, it looks as if Leslie and I will be at MuseCon, so, if it works out, see you there!

Yep, lots of ingredients. I left a few things out because I couldn't find them or I forgot about them or I didn't like them. I even made a special trip to this specialty food store for Vegeta (the soup spice not the DBZ character). It turned out pretty well. I may make it again sometime.

I hope to see you at Musecon. I bet it will be fun to go to a convention and not have to perform. One tip, don't go to "Internet Strategies for Artists and Photographers" it's put at the end of the day for a reason. It's informative but it goes over-time and manages to stay just barely interesting enough to keep you there but when I left I was extremely exhausted mentally so I couldn't go to the filk room. Plus it's oriented towards visual artists not audio ones.

ETA The guy at that panel knows his stuff and it is informative. It's just very very LONG. He wanted the last panel of the day so he could go overtime. No offense towards the panelist intended.

My psychiatrist changed my meds and I'm getting used to the new stuff. On the plus side I think I'm getting some of my creativity back, on the negative I'm not sleeping as well and my stomach isn't happy. The new stuff (Topamax and straight Prozac) seems to be working better than the old stuff (Symbyax) with the added benefit that Topamax doesn't cause weight gain like Symbyax did. I just have to adjust to the new stuff.
