Once Again, Hunker Down

More terrible weather in Oklahoma, Missouri, and points east. Be careful, be safe, let us know you're all right.

This is definitely getting old. Who do you think has the weather-controlling superweapon, and what do you suppose they'll ask for as ransom?

nature's fury, wtf

We're getting conflicting reports of upcoming nastiness in my area (5mi north of Louisville); everything from massive storms hitting around 4pm to simple thundershowers around 10pm, depending on what station you're looking at. I'm not quite sure what's going to happen...I'm hoping for the latter and sticking to NOAA's somewhat calmer best-case scenario for here.

I'm personally of the opinion that Mother Nature has had it with being abused and is showing us who's boss...just wish the bitchslap wasn't so deadly.

Everyone, stay safe out there!

The main center of the low pressure zone seems to be currently over Kansas City, Mo.

See: http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php for an animated map.

Me! I demand 1000 new wind farms and a sensible carbon trading system. And all the rubies from the UN crown jewels! Do all these things and I promise the weather will (eventually) return to normal.

Well last night we had a storm blow through here, no problems. This morning we had another thunderstorm. Now there's a third one two states away and I can't tell if it will hit or not.
