Considering all the Mormon dogma that's imbedded in Twilight, this is ever so amusing.

Exactly! And add to the fact that most Mormons are members of the religious right. This just made me go "WTF?!"

Oh no, that's just a parallax view, an artifact of where you happen to be standing and viewing them. Protestant fundamentalists don't consider Mormons to be Christians (and they have serious doubts about Catholics, too).
Of course, from my point of view (a former Catholic who married into a conservative Lutheran sect, and converted, but kept my perspective intact), the Protestants are being naive and/or stupid to think that.

Yes, but I am someone who identifies as a member of one of the LDS-faith traditions (I am a member of the Community of Christ). I get so tired of people not considering us Christians.

Which Anne Rice novels did they want banned? The vampire ones or the "greed is good" ones?

It should be bad for bad writting, not the vampires. And what about the werewolves? Are they okay?

Ooops... "banned for bad writting"... lol.

Werewolves, as a general rule, are not often seen to be dating girls about one tenth their age. So at least there's that.

Even 1/10th is better than the age difference between the christian god and Mary. Just to put things in perspective. At least Mr.Sparkle is closer to his girlfriend in terms of appearance and maturity.

Still a choice between necrophilia and bestiality...
There's a chatroom for that.

Head/desk
face/palm
cross/pocket

Sometimes these people make me reluctant to admit I'm a believer.

In the end all religion makes it up as it goes along. The only difference is the fantasies of the individual religionist. The crazier the person, the crazier the thing "god wants" is.

I wonder what they think of the specifically Christian Vampire novels?
