It is fucking amazingly gorgeous outside. It's almost overwhelming. It's totally Spring and I like Spring for flowers and the sunlight and the wind and being able to sit on porches late at night without freezing. Smoke hangs overhead with each cigarette drag and sweet beer is in season.
Last night I was sitting in the courtyard with Will, smoking camels, and he almost died right there because he said for the first time he could see stars from where we were, smack in the middle of Atlanta. (However, I've seen many- a star from here..)
Today I participated in a research study at the psychology department. It was fun, and I got credit for my psych class. Basically they hooked up 14 sensors up to my face, neck, ribs and fingers and recorded my body's emotional responses to video clips and pictures. There was a little more to it than that but nevertheless I had fun. I love psychology. I met Scott after his lit class and we took a nice walk up to Peachtree Street and got iced coffee, then big sandwiches on the ever-lovely broad street. I found a new love affair with the late afternoon sun. And I swear, I love that boy more and more everyday. Everyday is something new, something shocking and it's awesome.
I can't stop listening to Death Cab. I think it's because of the weather. And how everything I feel is finally in place. I think I'm going to download some Sinatra, I love him goddamn it I do.
My sister starts Spring Break this weekend. I'm excited to see her. She's pretty and funny. For once she said she's actually going to come down here to see me. Saturday I'm going to play with telescopes in Rutledge for Astronomy extra credit, that will be fun. Robbie said he's probably going to have a party as well, for St. Patrick's day.
Hopefully it will top last year (cough Janine cough). I'm sure it won't be hard.
But then again, I'm still not sure.
I'm now going to sit in the courtyard with Connor, if he hasn't left for the weekend. I'm going to bring some old Polaroids with me and gasp at how fun those times were, then I'm going to rip them apart and sew them back together then hang them on my walls. Later I shall see Madison. FUCK this weekend couldn't start any better.
