I helped Mike Poling prepare for his jazz band audition for a bit and then dropped him and Lawerence Wu off. Calling someone by his/her first name only would hint some sort of familiarity. Maybe Steve is simply not comfortable enough to be able to use a more casual reference to anyone

When I use a full name, it's so that people don't get confused as to which person I'm referring to. Once I say the last name once, then I don't use it again. If you really feel like people are going to stalk you over the internet after reading your name in this, then I'll switch to using the last initial, ok?

And no, I am comfortable with referring to people casually, but again, I just like to avoid confusion that may arise. So don't assume things about me.

It's not that people will stalk us, it's just that it's really weird and unnecessary. Do you walk around school calling people by their first and last names?
