All right, so things have been mellow lately. I forget when I last updated and am too lazy to go back and check the entries... so I guess I'll take it from yesterday.
Anywho, once I crawled out of bed at 1 PM, I got to chill for a bit before showering and getting ready for the evening. By 3 PM, I was on the road to get my paycheck, fill up on gas, and drive out to the North Bergen Park & Ride. Yeah, I managed to survive all the way out there. I then got on an NJ Transit bus that went to the Port Authority. By 5:10, I met up with my dad in the terminal and then we walked over to 65 W 89th Street.
Why did I do all this random commuting, you ask? Well, last night, the Levine family hosted a JHU student welcome party, and I think a good time was had by all. I met a handful of people I'll be going to school with, although for the size of the campus, I may never see them, particularly those in Krieger, but hey, it's good to know a few faces ahead of time. Those who I talked to the most for the evening were people I had already started to talk to on Facebook and whatnot, so meeting them in person made me feel less stalker-ish.
Besides, it made me more excited for college and for the August 5th get-together in the city... woot.
So to progress in time, today started off slow. After some random room cleaning, I deposited some money in my new bank account and drove out to Michaels Arts and Crafts store in the Bound Brook area (or whatever town is exit 13 off 287). I picked up my framed collection of region/all-state medals to now hang somewhere in my room. In the meantime, Andrew and I arranged plans for the evening.
I picked him up at 6 after he got off work. We snatched about 50 free iTunes download promotion cards before we left Andrew English and Alex to run the theatre. So we end up in Morristown at around 6:30... I start to pull into the Cluck U parking lot, but Andrew reasoned that it'd be better to go to the theatre and grab our seats ahead of time. I attempted to pull into the parking garage in one place while missing more obvious entrances... so yeah, my blindness and stupidity levels kicked up. After going onto a side street to k-turn and head back to the theatre, the person behind me got annoyed and used the Jersey horn (aka, the bird) to express his feelings... lol.
Anywho, Andrew and I were there to see "Clerks II". Oh man, Kevin Smith definitely makes you proud to be from NJ, for the movie was hilarious. I didn't see all of the first movie, but the second one definitely seemed to have more of a storyline to it. Other than that, I won't spoil anything from it, so go see it!
After the movie was done, Andrew and I stopped at Cluck U as James Hind and Kyle Schneider were finishing up their meals. The Lil' Red Roman sandwich is definitely tasty, and I'm tempted to call and see about working there for some extra cash for the remainder of the summer. Haha... who knows...
So yeah, tonight was a good night as was yesterday. I just hope this summer doesn't go too quickly...
Take care.
