The plot thickens! teenygozer December 13 2006, 23:33:56 UTC
The magic of The Hobbes! In what universe would a short, balding, occasionally laughable man be considered sexy? Well... maybe it's something about those great forearms of his, but we love him! So sad to think of him w/o his Darien.

My friends created a music vid for I-man that's rather amazing (Kryptonite), then one of them did a video specifically for Bobby that I think you will enjoy (Speed Racer.) Check them out here:

The Kryptonite vid is one of the few I've kept, and look at now and again. It's good, and it also captures how/why Paul Ben Victor was believable as Hobbes being the agent he was.

It took me a while to accept that the driver was Hobbes, but the guy just wouldn't go away.

Paul Ben Victor is now on HBO's The Wire from time to time as the elusive, all-pwning foreign crimelord "The Greek". So named because he isn't Greek, thus ingeniously making his cover better. It's a serious role, and you can totally buy him as a guy with some serious import business and a few ah, handlers, on the side.

So, a) loving this and b) OMG Heinlein! He's one of my all-time favorite authors and y'know, you're totally doing his thing of quoting people at the beginning of chapters. I always liked that about him.

Can't wait for the next chapter!

Glad you're enjoying it. Finding the right quotes was fun, and in one case drove the plot.
