A thing on friendship
I'm writing this in third person for a reason.
Lots of people say that the best part of a friendship is that the two have the same personalities, backgrounds, interests or whatever. Sure a lot of those things make friends closer, but not best friends. Fil has lots of friends that are like her, crazy, hyper, obsessed with things, and also has lots of friends that have opposing views, politics, religion, obsessions, things like that. And for some reason, she's closer with those ones.
Take Fil and Tithe two totally different people, one blonde and blue eyes(so gorgeous) and one that's brown haired and hazel eyes(debatable). One is religious, the other is not. One is a Conservative, one is Liberal. One tall, one short. One super obsessed with Harry Potter, one super obsessed with the Lord of the Rings. Their tastes in music and other forms of entertainment. Varying degrees of intelligence, drawing ability, writing ability, stupidity, sense of direction, self confidence, singing ability, shyness and outgoingness. Different yet some how the same sense of humour.
Sure, they share so much in common, the hope for world peace, an end to global warming, an extreme attraction to animals. Their love of books, outdoors, their families, and their pets. They're need to write and some how express themselves. They are both extremely dramatic(even if they dont admit it). Their sense of self, how they care for others and not just themselves. Their urge to give to others, and take little in return. Their high chance of not being jealous of each other. Their weird affinity to obsess over things, and keep on obsessing long after the general population has stopped. Their need to learn and keep on learning.
But do you know what the best part about their friendship is? The Silence. They can sit in a room, playing their game boys, or listening to music and not get uncomfortable with each other. That is a true sign of friendship, these two are so comfortable with each other that they dont need to talk, its like a step below telepathic communication. Heck, they can probably read each others mind if they wanted. Silence is a part of everyday, and if you can experience it with a friend, then it is a true sign that you are best friends. And as the saying goes, good friends listen to what you say, best friends listen to what you don't.
I just wanted to say that I'm the happiest person alive because i'm your friend Tithe. After all these long years(what, 11 years now?) your the best friend I've ever had. Sure, we fight, but we always go back to being the best friends. And its awesome.
