Wow! This image makes me feel exactly the opposite of everything Temperance means. Dizzy, lost, insecure and overwhelmed by chaos. Even standing on the middle ground in this place would make me doubt it. And I am not certain I could find all sides, let alone recognize them.
Because we see so many things the same way, I am always happily surprised to find those points where we are diametrically opposed in our vision. what a great photo! Where did you find it?
Unfortunately, it is one of the photos in my file that lost its note when I changed to system X. I am pretty sure it was taken by Gabriel Bouys - I think it is at an art installation in France.
The traditional image of Temperance leaves me cold - keeping your center when everything is already balanced. Being able to ground and center in the midst of Chaos - that speaks to me!
I also like the idea that all the fractured images that distract us are reflections of ourselves.
