I guess one would be u dun count H as the "first" and the other u do count H as the "first" so u will have two different results.

but the thing is, which is which? is like a 50/50 gamble as there is no one right answer.

yes, I was the one who gave u the answer "M" .. HAHAHAHHAHA .. sorry I was not paying attention .. lollll

YOu are not the only one who has M as answer. My UK grad friends.. Imperial, Princeton, UMIST and LSE said the answer is "M, M"

If ignoring the backward or forward direction.
Im not too sure abt the Q2,from H, and H will be the first position? thus D is the answer?

A B C D E F G H
5 4 3 2 1

hahahahah .. must be our british training which dun teach us to pay attention .. HAHAHHAAHHAHHAA

I would choose as follows:

5th left OF H: "D"

A B C D E F G H
# # # 5 4 3 2 1

5th left FROM H: "C"

A B C D E F G H
# # 5 4 3 2 1 0

your "left of H" answer looks wrong... so what you're saying is "H is 1 letter left of H"??

the html is all salah .. loll

just shift all the numbers to start from under the H

I mean - left OF (u count H as 1)

left FROM (u Count H as Zero)

yah... so according to your LEFT OF rule, what is 1 letter left of H?

dat is why it does not make sense to ask this question lo .. coz the argument is the same either way.

so perhaps the answer is the same one. ie: there is no difference between the two.

goodness! so siao! is such a waste of time this kinda thing .. dunno what HR is bothering about. what is more impt is work attitude, experience and qualification.

I think it is better to do a writing test to check on writing proficiency and conduct an interview to test oral and presentation skills.

E.g of the qns:
Count the number of letters after or before H?
If H is 4 what is M.

So xiaogou what is our answer?

xiaogou December 8 2009, 11:08:06 UTC
1st letter left of H is G
2nd letter left of H is F
...
5th letter left of H is C

"5th letter left from H" doesn't make any sense. Actually "5th letter left of H" doesn't make any sense either, it should be "5th letter to the left of H".

Incidentally, H is the fifth letter of the word aitch, which is the name of the letter.

I think I agree more with xiaogou..
Left of H.. E.g Left of me.. can't be me.. but another person.

As for Left fm H. Starting counting the letter left from H. ??DO I include H?
