Dealing with Dragons

A Dream:

I don't remember the beginning, but it ended with a dragon.
I had come to consult with the dragon about a difficult problem that the villagers faced. There were about twenty of them gathered around waiting for answers.
Before cooperating, the dragon required me to stand between  his mandibles, which I did as I asked my question..
When I walked away to consider the answer, one of the young men (early-mid 20's) dragged his brother forward. The younger one said he didn't want to, but the older one said "You have to. You'll be fine, trust me." So the older one held open the dragon's jaws and the younger one stood between them. The older one asked a question, and the dragon answered. While he was trying to understand the response, he let go of the dragon's jaws.
    We heard a "snap".
    The younger brother was gone.
Before anyone could react, the dragon said "He's fine."
The young man blinked up from the ground, just his head and one shoulder, half a torso. "Brother?" he asked in bewilderment.
"How can he be fine?" the older brother demanded "When most of his body is missing?"
"Relax" the dragon chuckled. "He's under the tree."

Then I woke up.
