Brianna is also using Bishop to eliminate Ytriam & his elves. This is why she has yet to move directly against Bishop. Also she didn't kill, she arranged the deaths of obstacles and added their power to her own. From the perspective of Lord Vrikt her every move has been to play her enemies against each other, and add the power of those who couldn't be manipulated to her own while removing them from the equation. He should be marveling not only at the skill with which she manipulates the enemy, but her friends as well. He should compliment her on her choice of tools and the timing with which she discards them.

The idea is for him to compliment her on being the archetype of the Vrikt line, to actually gush over how well she has become exactly what she wishes least to be, but what she nonetheless is and was (in his eyes) always fated to be. It is to serve as an underscoring of who she has become or is very near becoming and a suggestion that the progression is unstoppable. It sets the stage for her to see herself and embrace the path that she has been subconsciously preparing. Of course that last bit won't happen until the next entry.
