Just let me know if you want me to look over the covers and see who I can ID. :D I'm doing absolutely nothing today but bumming around on LJ, so it wouldn't be any problem at all.

Can I sort of quote you in the post for this information?

Can I just copy your summary in the posts I'll make? It would definitely give people a much better idea.
Even someone as ignorant about Japanese actors as me has heard about the Takarazuka theatre, so they must be big in Japan, LOL well obviously because nearly every magazine has a special interview about some members...but that's as far as I know XD yeah, thanks for the help!

Go for it! A lot of people will recognize the kanji and things, but in case they don't...
I'm always really shocked when people have heard of Takarazuka! It's so cool, and so many people don't know about it. I didn't even know they had stuff in Top Stage until one of my friends told me a little while back and I flipped out horribly. XD
Good luck on your sales!

The pictures are quite blurry so it's likely they don't/can't be asked ^^;
Is it normally abbreviated as Zuka? I'm sorry but I just inevitably remembered a certain pot character XD Top Stage seems to be quite a serious stage magazine which is probably why they appear a lot?

I was totally squinting at some of them. XD
Yeah, a lot of us call it Zuka. And I really shouldn't have been surprised to find out that it was in Top Stage. I just thought that with the way the Takarazuka Revue handles things, they wouldn't do much outside press. Again, it's complicated, but suffice it to say that it's fairly difficult and expensive to get Takarazuka stuff. It's a very insular sort of thing. I'm glad to hear that they do stuff outside of the magazines that the company itself publishes.

Now come to think about it, the first time I heard about them was probably after I read Rose of Versailles. The fan pages have some introduction and they're probably one of the first groups to have real people show based on a manga.
Interesting. Maybe the company thinks less press is better? Or they want to maintain a high standard and the like. The way a lot of japanese acting agencies/companies operate is quite fascinating and sometimes very confusing to me ^_^

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Rose of Versailles is a pretty old Zuka show, too. They do it frequently.
Ahaha, honestly I think they're just trying to make as much money as possible, but that's just me. We really can never tell with these Japanese agencies/companies. They all have very different strategies. I agree, it's absolutely fascinating! Fortunately the one standard they all have is turning out the pretty for us to look at. /shallow XD
