[Musings] Insanity Strikes Again
So, here I sit, seriously toying with the idea of starting another RP. Why? Because I'm totally nutso and insane, that's why. This one would be totally free-form with no plot. In other words it would probably be a crack!rp. Why? Because I am not a sane woman, not by any stretch of anyone's imagination.
No, this would not be a town where characters from all fandoms show up and stay until they've sorted out their lives. Nor would this be highschool redone, or anything like that.
The premise? This would be the world after an apocalypse. An accident in a lab, a magic spell gone wrong, it doesn't matter what caused it, but it happened. One moment, the world was as you know it; the next, a shockwave passed across the world, perhaps across the galaxy or even the universe as we know it. Barriers between worlds and dimensions broke down, people were swept from one dimension to another. EArthquakes changed the land, tidal waves and tsunamis washed inland, the polar caps began to melt. Lives were snuffed in the blinking of an eye, some people simply died or were incinerated or simply disappeared; others simply appeared. Just as quickly, it was gone, and the world was a changed place. A disease cropped up, wiping out a large percentage of the population in the span of a few weeks.
The world is changed, empty, dead. Except for those few, scattered from one corner of the wasteland that is earth, who lived to see it all and tell the tale.
Yeah. I repeat: I. Am. Not. Sane.
ETA: Okay, there's a question I have regarding RP's online. I keep seeing references like PUP, MUN, and PB. What the heck? I come out of a long and time honored tradition of table-top-face-to-face RPG, where your terminology is limited to DM/GM, PC and NPC.
