Labyrinth fic
Ok, so I have started a fan fic for The Labyrinth. But I'm stuck. I can't figure out how Jareth would respond in the situation. Any suggestions would be amazing.
Ten years have passed since Sarah solved the labyrinth, but her life has not worked out at all. So she goes back to the neighborhood where she lived, to the park she starts in in the movie, and prepares to kill herself. But she hears someone call her name from a grove of trees nearby. She decides to check it out and see who is calling her.
Even in the sunlight this grove had been dim, Sarah remembered. Now with the heavy rain clouds it was quite dark within. The very air seemed to hum around her as she entered the shelter of the trees. She felt a compulsion pulling her deep into the grove. As she made her was slowly inward she could see far back, within the very center of the grove, a lighter blur and something that glinted slightly. Following the strange compulsion, Sarah made her way toward the blur that resolved itself into a human form as she approached.
“Hello,” she called out cautiously to whomever it was she was making her way towards.
The familiar and slightly uncanny beautiful voice answered_________
I have no idea what Jareth would say. I'm tempted to have him say her name for a third time, but that doesn't seem quite right. Ideas?
