[There's a sound of shifting, and a voice swears under his breath. A tuft of alarmingly bright red hair comes into view over the device, followed by a completely bewildered face.]

...did I fall in another hole? "Use this"? What if I don't want to? Fontech is Guy's thing ( Read more... )

Do Luke and Asch have the same voice? witchoftheweek November 10 2009, 06:02:45 UTC
I do believe you should come back and read this for your own benefit.

Aside from Asch sounding like a 40-year old smoker version, yes. figurespeaking November 10 2009, 06:04:25 UTC
...Woah. Um, thanks...? [Still confused by the talking fontech, btw.]

Eh, she figures different frequency, so...even if she did see them, she'd ask and then go "eh'. witchoftheweek November 10 2009, 06:08:50 UTC
You're welcome.

First I am unfamilar with the terminology. Second, the device is called a communicator, and it allows communication with others over long distances. I am not the device, nor am I inside it.

[Stares.]

...okay well how's it do that? [Sorry Patchouli, he's kind of dense and these sorts of things don't exactly exist where he's from. We communicate with letters and in person. :|b]

[But that is a valid question!] I am not sure of the exact mechanics. It likely follows some principle of converting images and sound into an invisble energy signal and sending it somewhere else to another device, which convert it back.

To be honest, I've never really used a device such as this until my arrival here.

The city is called Discedo, the planet is called Fortuna, and we are all in a universe or world that is not our own.

... [Makes a face.] How's that even possible?

Most likely, extremely advanced technology.

Of course, I do not know for sure.
