I'm totally up for that. Honestly, I'd send you a ton for free if I wasn't so damn broke. If you want to slide a few dollars my way, I can scope out the thrift store this week for another big sweater or two (how many would you want?)

The super awesomeness of doing it this way is that you pre-shrink the sweater in the washer and dryer before making them, so then you can just throw them in the washer and dryer afterwards, instead of having to hand wash them all the time.

The pattern I used comes in preemie, newborn, small, medium, large, etc. Do you know what size I should make for you? For myself I made the mediums, since P was 10 pounds by the time she was 2 weeks old.
Do you want newborn size?

The medium is a big medium, it's like 12-20ish pounds, I think. I could send you the mediums first, and you could tell me from there if you want more in a size down or a size up?
It's easier to find colored sweaters than undyed ones, so let me know what kinds of colors you'd prefer. I guess we'll know by tomorrow whether you want all pink or not. :p
I think $10 would be plenty for materials and shipping and everything for 5 or 6 of them. Does that sound cool? If the shipping and sweaters wind up being way cheaper, I can send you back the difference.

Anything to make the prospect of cleaning up poop cute.
I know! hehe

$10 total, not $10 each. I'm thinking that should cover a few sweaters plus shipping a small box.
This sweater was a men's XXL and it was huge. I can normally only make 2-4 per sweater, depending on how much it shrinks, so it might take 2 or 3.

I hear you on the pregnant brain.. geez, I keep losing everything.

madoldpirate(at)gmail(dot)com, por favor.

I just realized what week it is, so I'll definitely be going to the thrift store tomorrow, not Friday. I don't think I'm going to set foot outside the house the day after Thanksgiving. Nothing is worse than xmas shoppers. They are so damn rude.

Dude, me too. My dishes haven't all been clean in forever, because I can't stay focused long enough to wash all of them at once. We have hard wood floors, and I have to sweep them almost every day ("non-shedding breed of dog" my ass!), and I almost always forget one room or one part of the house, and then I just stare at the dog hair in that one corner like "How did you get there??"

I found grey, red, and black sweaters. The black isn't as thick as the other two, but it's super super soft, so I was thinking of just using it for waistband/leg bands.
The grey is light enough that I can dye over it if you want me to. Available Kool-Aid colors are red, pink, light blue and light green. There's also grape, which is a really neutrally not-bright-or-pinkish purple. I did one in grape yesterday, I'll take pics sometime this weekend to show you what it looks like.
I'm guessing I can hammer these out this weekend and probably get to the post office by Tuesdayish.
