Summary: A little bit of rain helps Conor to realise that he loves [loved?] Gerard.
DISCLAIMER: This is completly fictional. I do not own these boys, their bands or anything to do with the apart from CDs and band shirts. I am not making any profit from this.
It was raining. Not torrential downpour, not a slight drizzle. Just regular rain. The kind of rain that when it’s over brings all the little worms and bugs out of the ground, only to be eaten by birds. Nature’s way of keeping things in balance, with it’s trademark life and death irony. Only fitting that crows and ravens are black, thought Conor.
The rain reminded Conor of Gerard. No specific reason, it just did. So did stop signs. Again, no particular reason. They say that when you truly loved someone, everything reminded you of them. Must not be love then.
Sofas didn’t remind him of Gee. Except for that one time… Windowsills didn’t. Even though he always sat in that one over there when he was talking on the phone to Gerard. Alarm clocks didn’t. Never mind that Gee always shunned them in favour of his cell phone alarm. Sheep didn’t. Although, Gerard had an irrational phobia of them.
Apples did, empty water bottles did. Everything did.
Must be love then, thought Conor, stepping out into the rain.
