I have to say, that was a pretty awesome Saint Patrick's Day.
Spent the early hours doing laundry, and talking to Brian for a short time.
Then I started running errands with my brother joining. Find out at the butcher shop, just how hooked up that place really is. He can offer me a good package with the items of my choice!! I felt so relieved, Meat is expensive and I really wanted to offer more than hamburgers and hot dogs out to my friends.
Need to finish my guest list today and send out invites. I'm really excited about it. Of course, it is...all about good food and friends. :)
After the butcher shop we headed to Bed Bath and Beyond for some sort of wall decor. Cost me 20 dollars for something close to the theme I'm going for. Clean, Modern, Semi-Nerdy, Semi-Japanese and Romantic. Going to look really nice once I'm finished. It'll feel like my room again, which was the main reason behind it. If I'm going to live here, by all means it should feel more like home to me right?
So lunch came after at Chili's. I had forgotten to ask Jimmy to stay on my budget a bit with the food. Hahaha. Either way, we had a great time together which was what I wanted on this adventure out. Last stop was to Bevmo for a irish six of Smithwick's...then the plan was to go home, and start finishing the walls.
But luck have it, I ran into Joaleen Johnson. Long time friend, Hairdresser, and now, Natalie's coworker at Peet's Coffee. This was lucky because I had treated my hair earlier with some hot Oil VO5 style, and came to find my ends are getting really damaged. Haircut was on the list, and there she was. This is a more affordable option for me, and she needs the cash. Works out for the both of us.
So she invites me out to the Mutiny, and I agree some fun is needed, so shortly after returning home, I walk downtown before the stars say hello to me. Few good friends we're there, but after beer two, I follow the Irish King's on their way out. Literally that's the last name. Joe and Derrick King. LOL. These boys originally hail from Boston, and are...you guessed it, Red Sox fans.
Went to Matt Alcosta's house, and dined on tradition of Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner. Heh, actually it was just the veggies by the time I got to it. Still it was a delicious dinner, and low and behold, more hardworking friends were there to catch up with. Tracy LaBrie was sorely missed for sure, and we sang and danced horribly together. Got to love that lady. So beer three was finished up, and I started making plans for home around 930. Looked like I wasn't able to find transport suitable enough, so I left to walk home. Halfway there, another old face pulls over his car. "Janet, need a ride?".
I was a bit stunned, it was...my neighbor, and old Restaurant Occupations classmate Jason. He lost soooo much weight! Got in, and he's sober, just on his way to grab some juice real quick. So I come along, and we catch up while browsing the grocery store, and finally make it back home. Think it was almost 11pm. Not bad at all. I was sober the whole time. Remember the entire night! Goal of not making a fool out of myself, accomplished. w00t!
Facebook then sleep.
Up before the stars say goodbye, and I let the sunshine in through my window. No tinfoil for me. Benefit of living near a body of water is, the cool breeze.
Good Morning Pickle! <3
