Hi kids! So sorry I haven't posted in the last few days. I now have pix I wanted to post in honor of my baby's,figmentj 1st day of College. But I may have to solicit her assistance in posting them. It is raining in Tulsa today, & 60 deg. Since it feels like football it is no coincidence that the Mighty OU Sooners play today & the Cowboys play tomorrow,

My favorite first is the story of my first day of "real school" (kindergarten). My mom, always the efficient graphic artist, made a sign for me to hang around my neck. I need to borrow the picture she took of me on that day because it's just so HUGE and ridiculous looking. It looked like a big return address label with my name, address, phone number and other information in big block letters. I joke that it looks like a prison photo except for the fact that I was 4 and it was taken outside.

Anyway, I missed the bus going in to school so my Mom had to drive me in. The day was uneventful but the bus ride home was not. Since I hadn't taken the bus in that morning, the driver didn't know where to drop me off. So we drove up and down the streets of my neighborhood which didn't really help because all the houses looked the same. Eventually we came upon my house and I think my Mom was outside looking for me so I knew it was OK to get off the bus.

But that sign... yikes. It's not the same without the picture so I'll have to find it the next time I'm over at her house so I can scan it in.

I must see that sign! I must! I'd like to know what happened to it at school? Did you still have it after school? Sounds like after all of that you were in need of a hug & a snack!

You know that's a really good question. I must have lost the sign somewhere or else the bus driver would have known where to go, right? I always thought I still had it on but apparently not. Either that or the bus driver was completely clueless. LOL

I actually made that icon of Guo Jingjing - it's available at lookatmyicons To find icons (user pics) just do an LJ search on icons and start poking around various icon communities. ultimateicons is a good place to start.
