Happy New Year everyone! Weird being 2006...
Friday night I went out to Tequilla Beach with Tiffany and Becke. It was a lot of fun except we had to pay cuz her friends got there late. Lauren was there and after some phone tag, she found me in the crowd. Let me just say that clubbing without a guy is completely different. But I'll never forget chillin in Metro Station and making fun of the guys staring at us.
New Year's Eve I got up for my hair appointment at noon, got my hair cut, and came back to find Tiffany and Becke still sleeping. The girl did not do a good job. She didn't angle it at all and layered it weird. But not like I'm going to pay to get it cut again. The girls left, then I napped while Mom went to the store. When she got back, we went out shopping for a suit. We went to Khol's and found a cute chocolate brown suit. Then we also found another great pair of dress pants. Then as a treat I got some other pants which will be fun to swing dance in and they're just plain comfy! So now I'm officially done with Christmas, well besides my Uncle Mike- but last year we exchanged gifts in like June so I'm basically done.
New Year's at the Martin's was great fun. Lots of drunkeness, but good times. Greatest thing was that I got to spend the night with Justin. Oh I missed that so much. I can't wait to get back to school so I can spend most nights with him. The next day we hung out for awhile and then went downstairs to begin the gumbo(sp?). We ate breakfast and then continued cutting shrimp, frying sausage, and getting ready. I watched some football and kinda dozed on the couch. Eventually, his cousin and wife and a couple other people came over for dinner- a true southern dinner. I tried chitlens and collargreens. Keyword tried. But it was good times and Justin cooked really well. :) But then it was time to go home because I'm sure my mommy missed me! I came home and watched The Island with my dad cuz my mom was reading her book.
Yesterday was a lazy day too. I washed my clothes and started packing for school. Only a few days home left. We took down the Christmas tree and then went out to Macaroni Grill for dinner. We came home and watched Must Love Dogs and then Phantom of the Opera. It was a good night. Justin called me and we talked for awhile.
I think I'm going to head back Saturday night for school. That way I'm up all Sunday and don't need to stress about classes the next day.
