Buried in the Sea
By figliaperduta

Shall I bury myself in the sea,
or drown myself in the sand?
Either way, I am something

that is
(never)
worth your time
to destroy.

The waves have whispered to me
their names, under the moon-bright sky
which remains denied to me. Perhaps,

sometime in the future,
I shall
(not)
be mistaken
for less than worthless.

As time passes, I remain here,
forgotten by even your nightmares,
the tales to scare children, and as the

storm rages on,
I remember that
(no)
one escapes
alive.
