Crud.
Let me do some thinking and see if I can rearrange some stuff.
If not, i'll just have to come back to Austin.
When would you be available on the 3rd?
I wouldn't want to take up your 4th...

it seems to me that more than likely, as a tech type job, you will not be interpreting ECGs, just placing them on people. an easy skill to learn.

drawing blood/IVs is a skill that does requires practice and continual use or your ability does decline. it is best to become familiar with the equipment your job uses, as there are hundreds of brands of needles and the like, all with different little safety features. can you get it? well, you can "borrow" some from your work (not recommended), but other than ordering in bulk from a medical supply catalog, there really isn't a way.

when i went thru training we practiced the technique a few times on a manakin arm, then they kinda shooved us out into the world. only way to learn is to do it. thats why i always let students practice on me. well, if i knew the student (eg they were an EMT that i had worked with and they are now trying for paramedic).

the job that i am trying to prepare for is an upper admin position with a drug trial company.
i will have to draw blood every day for the first year or so.
i'm not sure about the equipment that the job will be using, but i can try to find out.
