Well, Jared and I went to the new sushi bar that was once Angel's grill. The sushi was freaking awesome, authentic and delicious. I didn't get any though, because it was very expensive. You know, he did that "Get whatever you want... Well, except that $125 platter thing." But, being that Jenna that I am, I stick to the miso pork, which was insanely good. It started with an awesome miso soup with tofu. Then, the best cabbage salad I've had in a long time, with layers of flavor: lemon, miso, the cabbage, some yummy spiciness, and rice wine vinegar. Then, I got the miso pork, some steamed veggies, and rice. For those of you who don't know, miso is a cooking wine, very sweet! Mmm.. the pork was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside and covered in the sweet miso sauce. Veggies were perfect, and the rice was juuuuuust right. Then, we had fried bananas with key lime sauce. *GAH!* Soooooo freaking good! I also tried some of Jared's sushi. He got eel, octapus, and some California rolls (pansy). It was the best eel I've EVER HAD! Everyone must visit that sushi place, even if you don't like sushi. At least try it.
But, on to the date itself. Jared was a perfect gentleman, opening the doors, complimenting me. He's been to Japan before, so he taught me how to weild the chopsticks (I didn't use a fork the entire night! Just a spoon for the soup and dessert. However, I made a huge mess!). We talked, then went home and watched a movie. But, did I have a good time? I guess I did. It just makes me mad that someone so smart and talented openly admits to doing pot and stuff... Gosh, he's like freaking brilliant, too. Why do all the good ones do pot??? But, he's nice. I just wish I didn't feel so awkward around guys. 'Cause I do when I know they think I'm hot. Until then, I'm fine... Gosh... Idiot.
