[Whoever owns the PCD has apparently, like many newcomers, managed to turn it on accidentally. This is obvious from the way the view wobbles crazily. It appears the owner is walking through what once might have been a residential neighborhood before the compression ( Read more... )

...Sesshoumaru?

[First Naraku, now Sesshoumaru? Who next?]

Taijiya.

[And...that's all the greeting you get. He's probably forgotten Sango's name by now.]

...

[Have a deep, weary sigh.]

I suppose I should give you the run-down. We're in a place called Adstringendum--a world apart from our own. We've been taken from our home against our will alongside many others. There's no telling if or when we'll be going back.

...Naraku is here, too. [Others would tell him, anyway.] But even if you kill him, he won't stay dead. In this place, one just comes back to life... it's pointless for you to attack him.

So I've heard.

If you think his coming back would be a limitation, you aren't very creative.

Sesshoumaru-sama...

[Sigh.]

I can't dissuade you from fighting him, I know that. But if you have to do it... take it outside the city. To the Wastes. You'll have more room there.

[Because she knows she can't appeal to his sense of keeping civilians safe. She's going to have to warn the network of the impending battle, isn't she.]

I'll consider it. [Translation: if it's convenient for him.] You sound tired, taijiya.

[Not that he cares, but still.]

[She switches the feed to private.]

Do I?

[Oh, she knows he doesn't care. And she doesn't sound the least bit surprised at the observation.]

It's a human thing, I guess. Trying to make sure he doesn't cause too much trouble is... tiring.

If you die because of it you'll only have yourself to blame.

[And that's pretty much as close to helpful as he's going to get.]

I know that. Luckily I'll just come back.

[Jeez, Sesshoumaru, she's a big girl. Dresses herself and everything.]

...look... there are all kinds of people here, from different worlds. Some of them might be even more powerful than Naraku, and others are unknowns.

[...is she seriously about to say this to Sesshoumaru of all people? Apparently. Then again, it's sort of her responsibility, isn't it?]

...be careful. I know you probably don't need to, but it doesn't hurt.

Noted.

[Not exactly appreciated (who does she think he is? Inuyasha?), but still.]

[At least he didn't snark at her or something. 's not like She expected the warning to be well-received.]

Oh, and... watch out for the events. The Animus, those suspected to have brought us here, initiate them every other week... some are good, others are bad, many are just plain annoying.

see. That's the second time I've heard that name brought up. What exactly are the Animus?

Spirits that are suspected to have brought us here, but whether that's the case remains to be seen. They are the ones who impose the events.

Can they die?

That's unknown--though I wouldn't think so--but the closer you get to the place they inhabit, the weaker you become.

[He's never had occasion to use Tenseiga around her or any of the rest of Inuyasha's group. Hm. There's a thought. But one he doesn't voice aloud.]

...I see.

[Because 'thank you' isn't a phrase in his vocabulary.]
