So I'm back in Huntington Beach once again, and its been a good couple of days, for the most part. I took the train for the first time yesterday, and that was surprisingly pleasent.
Today, I went to the myspace 2nd annual concert and it was quite a good time.
I saw:
-Tom, of Myspace
-Forbidden (who is rather hot in person, despite the overly made up aspect)
-Jeb the fish of KROQ
-New Years Day, featuring my back up girlfriend to Stacey Dupree (lead singer is super attractive)
-Fort Minor, with a special guest appearence of Chester to perform one Linkin Park song.
-Chris Angel? some magician guy? kinda crazy
-All American Rejects, amazing set of both new and old stuff, but kind of short
-Jim Adkins (of Jimmy Eat World)I liked his new stuff, it was a solo acoustic set; it was an interesting new sound, but it seemed out of place following AAR. He also was pretty aggitated with the fact that his guitar was detuned and that everyone kept yelling "Play 'The Middle'/'Sweetness'"
-Dashboard Confessional was great. Mike Marsh, the usual drummer, wasn't there. Paul, they brought in a violin played your favorite, "remember to breathe". They played one new song from the upcomming album, it was electric and a bit on the harder side. This makes my fifth Dashboad Confessional concert, and though it was a great show it doesn't compare to the smaller venue feel.
Overall, this was the best $10 I've spent on a concert. There was a lot of down time between the acts and some might say the line up was far too poppy, but look who they're talking to.
To top of the night, I decided to have Del Taco at like 1:30 at night and this black stretch H2 limo pulls up. And guess who pops out?:
-Andrew
-Toni
-Primi
-Matt
-Kaitlin
-Jun
-Andie
-Erica
-Other freshmen i don't know.
Strange run-ins, but fun none the less.
