In a nutshell, I am a cell phone whore.
I spend my days wrangling with cell service providers on the phone, taking care of people's bill issues, upgrading their accounts, activating phones, answering inane questions about this, that and the other, and running a RadioShack that has exponential sales increases every month.
After that run-on, I'm period happy. Woohoo. Yes.
Anyways, I wanted to enlighten you folks who've had some run-ins with cell phone companies.
YOU DON'T EVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM.
Suprised? I'll bet you are. There are people out there who *gasp* GET PAID TO DO IT FOR YOU!
Namely, me.
And I kind of like it.
So, my recommendation is this: don't ever try to deal with your service provider directly about any issues you may have unless it is unavoidable (ie. you are on the moon, debilitated or banned from leaving your home). Come to us. We will do it for you. We have better deals on the phones, anyways.
So, I leave everyone reading this with a parting promise. If you have Cingular or Sprint, stop going to their anchor stores. Stop calling them directly. Drop by a RadioShack or other wireless vendor that is third-party, and get them to intercede on your behalf. We know what we're doing, we can help you, and we can Save. You. Money.
