Well, the Malnosso use the journals to spy on us, right? But, it doesn't seem like the journals are enough to really watch us, and...

Oh, I'm sure they have other means. Not that I know exactly what they have in mind, but I wouldn't be too surprised. Nor do I think anything we write or say on these journals is completely private.

Oh, riiiiiight. So if someone had an idea about how else the Malnosso might watch us, it would be best not to talk about it over the journals.

[Instead of ordering, he simply reaches behind the bar and grabs a bottle and a glass. Opening the bottle, he pours a glass for her.]

One thing I like about this place is free alcohol.

Thanks. And I suppose that does take the edge off.

[She takes a sip and grows a little more serious.]

There was something I wanted to bring up, if you hadn't heard about it, but it's not safe to do so over the journals. I see no harm now that we're in person, though.
