The Military Applications of Silly String I have finally developed a character profile for (one of?) the girl character(s) in The End is Nigh:
After reading Scott Pilgrim I took a ...
more cartoony route. From this I will take a few things. Her "Pfft!" attitude. The symbol on her hat, it's first appearance being this drawing. Finally, her dark eyes. I have (without
Wylie's approval) decided that her big dark eyes are the reason she wears shades all the time. Although Erik most likely finds them strangely (and extremely) attractive, she believes them to be embarrassing and weird looking. No. This is not a reference to anyone in real life.
After one attempt, a second shot at her face, and some Vivaldi I came up with
this. The scan sucks and I haven't quite mastered the art of changing scanned drawings to just plain lineart in Photoshop, BUT I really enjoy this makeshift panel. Scarf. Cityscape. Night. Wind. Shades. Awesome hat. Form-fitting but still large-and-in-charge jacket. OH SHIT! She's supposed to have bolts in the corners of those shoulder plates. Oops.
PS! From now on all comic-related art posts will be tagged under the label "the new pulp"
