Mother's Day is just around the corner and like always, I have no idea what to get my mom. I constantly have to tell myself that just because I think holidays and special occasions are ridiculously pointless rituals, that my opinion really doesn't matter. I'll do the phone call, of course. I'm thinking that maybe I will send one of my photos instead of a card. The price is probably about the same to print a photo as it is to buy an insincere, yet hilarious and fart-filled card. And I don't really show anyone my photos, so that's something special, I suppose. I'll send her something that's distinctively San Francisco... so no photos of dead pigeons or homeless people sleeping in their own puddle of urine.
