5 Days
Last Friday was our senior night for Oakton swimming, our last home meet ever. Coach H read my speech but it was really hard to understand what she was saying so she was the only one who laughed.
I had four years to plan my long walk down the bulkhead, but I forgot what I planned and just walked accross normally. Also I didn't know whether to take the present and balloons from my mom before or after I hugged her, so I did the safe thing and took the presents first. Then I got confused at which camera to look at so I looked at neither and they both made me take the picture again. Finally I was standing on the blocks overlooking the pool with my balloons, present and towel. Then I cried for about a millisecond when I realized it was my last home meet ever at Oakmarr... and then cried a lot longer when I realized the present was Hillary Clinton's Autobiography.
The meet was good, we won! It made it more special that my #1 fan Katherine was there, accompniead by her Key Club cronies Kelly, Pam, and Sukriti. Thanks for coming! After the meet I proved my manhood at IHOP by eating 5.2435 pancakes. Unfortunately Kat and Alex ate more so I ended up paying for everyones dinner. I like how they told me about this bet just after they took away all our food.
A few hours later I went to Pei's house and sat in my favorite chair. When I am older I am going to buy that room so I can just sit on that chair for the rest of my life.
By 2:30 I arrived home. Alex Penney was online as usual, and he begged me for some poker money. I said ok and then signed off before he could ask me again. Two hours later it was FRESHMEN INITIATION! YAY! This year we were doing the Rude Awakening... where we go to freshmen's houses at 5 AM and wake them up. So after we woke up 2 freshmen, me kimmy and justino headed off to Oakmarr. 30 minutes later everyone else arrived with their freshmen. Then we made the freshmen swim laps. I kinda felt bad, but then one kid splashed me so I felt better for this inhumane torture.
Sunday passed quickly.... my most memorable moment was after spending an hour arguing who would call for Chinese Food, the place was closed. I also beat Dave in Madden. Take that Dave.
Monday was Martin Luther King's BDAY. I celebrated by doing calculus and going to swim practice.
Tuesday we had a Gov mid-term. I was espicially pissed because I asked Alex Penney what the HW was the night before and he said "nothing." The rest of the day I did my best to plot Penney's downfall.
Finally we hit today! Today was an awesome day. After finishing my APES in the News project at 4 AM I went to bed. At 6:40 I woke up, cursed and realized I'd be late to school again. Then in lunch I saw everyone elses projects.... Sukriti and Kelly's blew mine away. I felt ashamed at first, but then I looked down and saw I still had a penis which means it's ok to make stupid ugly crappy looking art projects anyway.
AFTER SCHOOL the most amazing thing happened. I was staying after with Mr. Lau for Calculus, and he actually had ME tutor some other HUMAN! Even though I probably told the poor lad all the wrong answers, I made it seem like I knew what I was doing.
Then afterwards I worked up the urge to ask him what he think my 2nd quarter grade will end up as.
"Well it is a 46% right now.. what do you think you deserve?"
"a C"
"Oh..... ................ ................................... ......................... .................................... *LONG LONG AWKWARD PAUSE".............................. OK jason"
SO I GOT A C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I shouldn't go so happy BUT I AM!!!!!!.... I remember just 2 years ago I never got anything below a B....
Finally I made it to swim practice. I had to do 2 X 200 breastrokes at 85% without warming up.... so 30 minutes later my legs cramped like no other. It looked like I had 4 legs... the muscles were completely pulled away from the bone. I held on to the lanelines for life, and then slowly climbed out of the pool to try and grimace the most painful experience of my life. They didn't really go away, so for the last 20 minutes I didn't do much besides pour cold water on the people I don't like.
