96X Winter Meltdown: 12/4/07
...was fucking amazing. <3
The Influence, The Starting Line, Shiny Toy Guns, The Bravery, Silverchair, Angels & Airwaves, Paramore, Finger Eleven, Jimmy Eat World, and the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus all played. <3 (I think that's the line up. It was hard to remember who played when.)
So, we got there around 3:30 and waited in line. In the freezing cold. Damn cousin. xD Ummm, we got there that early cos of "traffic"
but there wasn't any. My aunt and uncle went and ate food and left me and my cousin out in the cold. So, we froze our asses off. Talked to lots of people in line, got tricked by the radio people but still got our place back in line cos the people around us were cool. <3
We FINALLY got in around 5:45, went to the bathroom, and sprinted to the dance floor. We were pretty far up there, too! I couldn't find Kelly or jkessica or anyone else, but it was cool. When the bands started playing everyone crammed up to the front and we moved like waves. XD The group behind me was in my chemistry class, and the one girl who was really pretty kept running her fingers through my hair and grabbing me and stuff. It was fun to be with that many people. xDDDD
UNTIL we got to, like, almost the front. Me and David (my cousin) stuck together pretty well until they started crowd surfing and moshing. We were three people from the front rail, I couldn't move at all, and I got elbowed right above the chest. I had to GO. I told him that and we started trying to get out, and I was yelling at people that I was going to pass out and/or be sick. One guys actually said to his friends "She's not serious." And then I swayed and fell. And he said: "Oh shit, she was serious!!!" And then it was really easy to get through. :D
So I got in line for a drink, hoping some sugar and liquid would make me better. You know how in Mortal Combat the person sways when you're about to finish them? Yeah. that was me. Plus shaking horribly. David caught up with me when I was standing there and I grabbed him and used him as a head rest until the world stopped spinning. Hahaha. xD
Ummm...I went and sat with my aunt and uncle for a whilke as I ate cotton candy and drank soda. I felt a lot better after that (I think my sugar was low cos I didn't get to eat before the concert, even though David doesn't think that. But he can go a day without eating- I can't.) and I FINALLY found Kelly and the others. I sat with them awhile, then jumped back onto the dance floor for PARAMORE!!! (See my icon for Hayley awesomeness!!! <3<3<3)
I stayed in the crowd and jumped around carefully during Paramore (cos I was still shakey) and had a BLAST. I think most people came to see Paramore because after they finished like half the crowd left. But those that left were younger kids, so they probably had curfew, too. I hung out on a blacony during Finger Eleven and Jimmy Eat World, got a drink and snowcone, and came back to the dance floor for Red Jumpsuit. Most of the crowd had left by then- the seats and dance floor were crowded before, and during their set only half the dance floor was filled, and not even tight. The seats were mostly empty, too. I got to participate in the mosh pit, though~! :D I pushed people back into it, haha. xDD
Oh! The singer of Red Jumpsuit Appratus tripped and fell into the crowd! If was crazy. Then he smashed his bass, apparently. I woulda taken it if he didn't want it. D:
After that the concert was over, so we left. I got home around 1:30 am , talked to mom and granny for a bit, and crashed out. I'm totally sore from it, but I had an AWESOME time at the concert~ <3
And that's my awesome time. :3 I had an awesome time, and saw ten totally cool bands live! And I lived! XD
