It's a nice day out by the lake, unlike on Eiattu.

"I'm actually surprised you don't have the baby on your back. The extra pressure might make you fitter." The voice is dry and bold as usual, Plourr might not be able to make out the teasing in it. There's nothing like insinuating that your friend has 'let herself go'. Hopefully Plourr won't punch her, though it would at least make life more interesting.

-- Plourr very nearly hits the ground in surprise, but she has more dignity (and better reflexes) than that; she freezes for a second, then continues doing push ups.

She may or may not be grinning, though.

"Please. I could bench-press 90 with my eyes shut." 48, 49, 50. She lets up and rolls to her feet in one smooth move. She sets her hand on her hip. While Plourr has been known to exaggerate -- she's probably not, in this case. She's certainly in better shape than when Aeryn saw her last.

"Aeryn Sun. Where the hell have you been, woman?" she asks, grinning broadly.

Meanwhile, Ianna peers at the two pairs of legs, and then she happily whacks the blanket with both hands, nearly losing her precarious balance in the process. She's still on a learning curve for sitting.

Certainly she was in better shape than Aeryn both mentally and physically. None of her muscles had softened, but she was developing the sinewy look favoured by stressed women who don't age gracefully.

"Around." The usual answer too, a slight shifting of the eyes out to to the distance around the lake. She'd never gotten used to making excuses.

"Your youngling is looking well." She was showing concern; isn't that nice!

"Yeah," she says, shooting Aeryn a bemused look at the word 'youngling,' "she's not so bad."

Ianna has something of a sixth sense for when she's being discussed, and all of her clever ploys for attention have failed thus far; she raises her arms to be picked up, and she says crankily, "Eh! Eh!"

"--Alright, alright already." Plourr leans down and scoops Ianna up, with an added small toss at the end. Ianna squeals a bright, delighted laugh.

"You don't seem that surprised to see me with her," Plourr says to Aeryn, settling Ianna in her arms. "Everybody else's jaw has practically fallen off. I'm guessing Crichton mentioned seeing us. If he did or if he didn't-- Aeryn, this is Princess Ianna Estillo-Pernon. Monster, this is your Auntie Aeryn." She jiggles the baby, and both of them are grinning, though only one can properly be classified as a shavit-eating smirk.
