Random Thought #5
This week was pretty boring. Still no replacement found for my current job, so I'm stuck in it for at least another 2 weeks. I got to interview an intern that I'll be working with if and when I ever start my new f***ing job. My patience for stupidity is running very, very thin.
Skating went mostly well this week. I impressed my coach with a newish jump combination I've been independantly working on, and we're going to try and work it into my program so I'll get extra kudos from the judges.
Today, I registered on a German portal/chat/forum (as was suggested by a friend) to try and imerse myself in the language in hopes that it will help me learn. I am beginning to learn which links go to which pages, even though I had to plunk them into an online translator first.
Last night, we went to see 13 Going On 30, which I thought was cute (the other people we were with didn't like it at all), though that may just be because I am a sucker for the happy ending romance stories. During the previews, we saw 2 upcoming flicks that look really interesting - 1. Spiderman 2, DUH!, 2. Dodgeball - it just looks like stupid fun.
Other than that, life has been pretty normal: Work, home, sleep, repeat. I do wish the weather would decide if it wants to be cold or warm (I'm pulling for the warm decision cuz I can't take any more of this cold crap).
Hopefully, we'll get some house cleaning done this weekend (though Saturday is almost over and we haven't lifted a finger!).
