Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is she heavyset, thin, short, rangy? Average height, toned.
2. How old is she? 17.
3. Describe her posture. Does she carry herself well or does she slouch? She stands up straight.
4. How is her health? Is she fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities? Her health is... Perfect. DAT HEALING FACTOR.
5. How does she move? Is she clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid? Very graceful, kind of cat-like.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does she perceive herself in the mirror? She's very pretty, and other characters have commented on it in canon, but she doesn't really... Think about those kinds of things. She probably thinks she's just average.
7. Describe her complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred? Clear and light skinned, though she does have scars on her arms that apparently aren't affected by her healing factor.
8. Describe her hair: color, texture, style. Long, soft and black. It kind of hangs in her face all the time.
9. What color are her eyes? Green!
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features? The claws in her hands and feet.
11. What are her chief tension centers? Her jaw. She tends to clench it when she's... Well, tense or angry.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does she have six of the same suit? Um. Goth/punk-y. She wears lots of dark, tight clothing, usually with her midriff bared.
13. Do her clothes fit well? Does she seem comfortable in them? Uh, a little too well, man. And yes, she's comfortable in them.
14. Does she dress the same on the job as she does in her free time? If not, what are the differences? Yep! Though sometimes she does wear her fancy X-Force outfit.

Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse? Um, NOT LIKE HER MARVEL VS CAPCOM VOICE. Otherwise I'm not sure.
2. How does she normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does she talk easily, or does she hesitate? Evenly, a bit softer than average. She is very well spoken, but does have a tendency to hesitate when in a situation she's not comfortable with.
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics? Nope, none, though she rarely uses contractions.
4. What language/s does she speak, and with how much fluency? English, Japanese and French fluently, at least. She mentions that she's fluent in other languages, but doesn't name them.
5. Does she switch languages or dialects in certain situations? She switches languages when speaking to a person that speaks that language. lmao what is this question.
6. Is she a good impromptu speaker, or does she have to think about her words? Yes, she can think on her feet, and be pretty convincing about it, too.
7. Is she eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change? Eloquent. She loses articulation the more uncomfortable she becomes, though she hides this much better around strangers.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is she book-smart or street-smart? Both, though she's more book-smart in the darker stuff like... Murder techniques and torture fkjsdafkj.
2. Does she think on her feet, or does she need time to deliberate? She thinks on her feet, and improvises quite a bit in situations.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is she more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical? Very logical and practical. She tends to think of all sides to a situation before making a decision, and likes to be prepared and have a plan.
4. What kind of education has the character had? Basic high school education. Also that awesome assassin training.
5. What are her areas of expertise? What, if anything, is she interested in learning more about? Black-ops tactics, torture, killing, strategy, blah blah blah. Right now, she just wants to figure out who she is, where she fits in, and how to relate to people.
6. Is she an introvert or an extrovert? Definite introvert. She isn't afraid to talk to people, but she isn't very verbose and always has a wall up around those she isn't familiar with.
7. Describe the character's temperament. Is she even-tempered or does she have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven? She's like, a hurricane of emotions inside constantly. Things affect her deeply, but she always, always wears a stoic mask, partially because she doesn't know how to deal with her emotions or understand them. Laura tends to be very driven, and could come off as melancholy.
8. How does she respond to new people or situations? Is she suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic? She tends to keep her guard up and evaluate the situation closely before making a decision. She does this with people, too, paying close attention to how they act and what they say.
9. Is she more likely to act, or to react? React.
10. Which is her default: fight or flight? Fight. Always.
11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does she appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks? Uh... She's slowly gaining a sense of humor. Nearly non-existant.
12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does she deal with them? Oh Jesus. She's a self-harmer, and I feel safe saying she suffers from a pretty severe case of PTSD. She also bottles up her emotions and just... Doesn't know how to deal with social situations or relate to them very well.
13. What moments in this character's life have defined her as a person? Her childhood, definitely. Her relationship and acceptance by Kiden and Megan, and later by Cessily, Julian and Josh. Julian and Josh saving her life also greatly changed her outlook, as did Logan taking her under his wing.
14. What does she fear? So much. Losing the people she cares about (either literally, i.e. they die, or emotionally, i.e. they turn their backs on her, fear her, are disgusted by her, etc), being used as a weapon again, making the wrong choices, being captured by the Facility, hurting the people she cares about, losing control, etc etc.
15. What are her hopes or aspirations? She just wants to figure out who she is, and where she fits.
16. What is something she doesn't want anyone to find out about her? Um. Probably the extent of her torture by the Facility, and how many people she's really killed/tortured.
Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with her parents. Uh. Sarah Kinney was her mother. She went along with the Facility's torture and killing, and treated Laura mostly like a thing. Then, she helped Laura escape and told her she loved her. So, Laura cares for her, certainly, but it's a very strained relationship and confuses the hell out of Laura. Logan is the closest thing she has to a father, and she looks up to him and longs for his acceptance. He treats her pretty crappily sometimes, honestly, and doesn't treat her with nearly the same... Affection as he does Jubilee or Kitty. She just wants to make him happy but she always screws up. :(
2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like? Noooope.
3. Are there other blood relatives to whom she is close? Are there ones she can't stand? MEGANNN. Megan was her first real friend, the first person who accepted and loved her despite her past and didn't try to use her or manipulate her.
4. Are there other, unrelated people whom she considers part of her family? What are her relationships with them? Cessily, Josh, Kiden, Storm (is getting there) and Gambit, the latter three because they never question or force her. They guide her when she wants it, but mainly let her go her own way and are there for her when she fucks up or has a breakdown. Cessily is her bestest friend and has gone through similar things in the Facility. She never really brings up Laura's past and she and Josh seem to accept her for who she is.
5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet? Cessily. They met when she joined the Institute. Probably Jules, also.
6. Does she have other close friends? The New X-Men, half of whom sort of... Hate her now. :(
7. Does she make friends easily, or does she have trouble getting along with people? She has trouble with people. Trouble relating, trouble reacting, trouble judging the mood of a social situation. JUST TROUBLE.
8. Which does she consider more important: family or friends? Friends. She doesn't have any (worthwhile) family to speak of.
9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has she been married more than once? Single.
10. Is she currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse? Nope.
11. Who was her first crush? Who is her latest? Uh, she has a huge crush on Julian, which started when he saved her after she got fucked up by Nimrod. All of her life, she was treated as a thing - a very expensive, useful thing, but something that could be replaced pretty easily. Julian going through all that shit to save her, and considering her something worth saving really, really had a strong effect on her. It was the first time Laura felt important or wanted or that cared for. Not that she's good at dealing with these feelings at all.
12. What does she look for in a romantic partner? lol uh. This isn't really applicable. She's not really the romantic partner type. Her feelings for Jules are kind of a weird exception.
13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does she relate to them? If no, does she want any? Nope. And no, she doesn't want any.
14. Does she have any rivals or enemies? Um. So many. The Facility, anyone who hurts anyone she cares about, the Purifiers, etc etc and on and on.
15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does she fall on the Kinsey scale? Ummm, going to say heterosexual. She isn't a very sexual person, though.
16. How does she feel about sex? How important is it to her? Oh Jesus. Uhhh, she views sex as a thing for procreation, and/or something that people do to feel good, but doesn't attach any emotional significance to it, as no one has ever told her it has any and her days as a prostitute fucked her up, man. So, of course, she takes any sexual feelings she has as just weird instinctual things, and doesn't attach any importance to them. She isn't all that into it.
17. What are her turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits? n/a, man.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does she fit type? I'm going to say Scorpio. These traits to be specific: Determined, forceful, jealous, resentful, obsessive, secretive, and emotional.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in her life? Noooope. She's too logical and has been through way too much horrible shit to ever put faith in a higher power.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it? Um. Not really. She figures killing people is a-okay if you need to do it, and... God, she's so messed up ethically haha.
4. How does she regard beliefs that differ from hers? Is she tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent? She doesn't even care, man.
5. What prejudices does she hold? Are they irrational or does she have a good reason for them? She's shown some disdain for Jean Grey's motto of "X-Men do not kill", and cited it as the reason she is where she is. aka dead.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is she rich, poor, comfortable, in debt? Uhhh, she used to be pretty well off for a fourteen-year-old. Her mom gave her a lot of money to survive after leaving the Facility. Now? Probably nothing.
2. What is her social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected her? She's basically a refugee.
3. Where does she live? House, apartment, trailer? Is her home her castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does she share it with others? Uh, currently, wherever she can find a place to sleep. Formerly, Utopia and the Institute.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does she spend her money on? Not much, honestly. Considering her reaction to raiding Megan's closet, though, she'd probably love shopping if she had time/money/less shit to worry about.
5. What does she do for a living? Is she good at it? Does she enjoy it, or would she rather be doing something else? NOTHING. Um. She's just wandering around with Gambit trying to find out more about her past/stop the Facility. She's probably still technically an X-Man.
6. What are her interests or hobbies? How does she spend her free time? Train? Stalk Julian? Read Cerebro's files? She isn't the most average seventeen-year-old girl.
7. What are her eating habits? Does she skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods? She's used to eating boring crap from the Facility, and later tons of fast food at the Institute, so now she loves very flavorful food - curry and stuff.

Which of the following do you associate with the character, or which is her favorite:
1. Color? Dark purple, most likely.
2. Smell? Something creepy like Julian or Cess or Logan. NO I'M JUST KIDDING. Wood-smoke from a fire is what popped into my head.

6. Music? Also probably doesn't have much of a preference.
7. Place? She's moved around so much she hasn't really gotten attached to any one place.
