PART I

It was past midnight and everyone was dancing, laughing, singing and drinking without a care in the world. Even the most workaholic guy ever, Kamenashi Kazuya was doing the same things, enjoying himself and laughing at whatever Nishikido Ryo was saying. Those two had stayed next to each other the entire time since Misaki had left, talking and again talking like there was no end to it. Of course to Kazuya such an opportunity was not to pass and he had intended from the beginning to take fully advantage of it, even if their topics varied and they were now talking about Kazuya’s life.

“So Yuuya is your only brother?” the younger director asked with a tone which wanted to be nonchalant, making himself more comfortable on the couch and bending his leg to settle it under his body as he took another sip of his beer.

Kazuya looked from his can to Ryo and nodded. “Yes, we’re the only ones.” He replied, taking a big gulp from the beer.

“Hmm…” Ryo mused, glancing at Kazuya. “It must be fun, having brothers and growing up with them.” He said with a grin, thinking that even if Jin and Pi weren’t his real brothers, they were even better than that.

Kazuya chuckled at this remark, though in his case it was exactly the opposite. “You don’t have brothers, right?” he asked, then he looked at Yamapi and Jin who were goofing around. “But I’m sure they have done a great job supplying this, no?” Kazuya’s eyes settled back on Ryo and he was smiling warmly and brightly. He felt like he could relate with Ryo on lots of things, even if this was their second meeting, but movies spoke a lot for the director.

“True, but they also made my life a living hell.” Ryo replied with a calm voice, looking at Jin who was shouting over the music to one of his friends and demanding to do something. “I almost forgot how loud he can be.” He rolled his eyes and the other person with whom Jin had been talking refused and threw an empty bottle at his head. Jin quickly got mad and started to chase him with the bottle while the other one just laughed at his antics.

“Well, life is pain, what can I say.” Kazuya laughed and leaned forward to grab another can of beer as he finished the one he was currently holding. “Sorry…” he mumbled as his body brushed against Ryo’s and something funny happened to Kazuya. It made him feel sort of… conscious of Ryo and his scent. A deep, masculine scent. Stupid Jin, Kazuya mused as he blamed everything on Jin since their funny game in the morning.

Ryo just cocked an inquiring eyebrow, but didn’t say anything and just shrugged it off as the younger’s shyness. “Believe me, you still don’t know how much of a pain in the ass Jin can be.” He laughed it off, continuing their discussion as he finished his beer too and put it on the table, touching yet again Kazuya but seeming to not be bothered as much because of it as the younger had been.

“I think I can picture.” Kazuya said with a grimace, remembering the neck bite and the way it made him feel. “But I’m still hoping…” he chuckled, though in a corner of his soul he didn’t want Jin to change, the way he was suited him the best. Kazuya yawned a bit, hiding it with the back of his hand. “Alcohol doesn’t do me right.” He said to Ryo with a lopsided smile.

“If Jin hears you, you’re in trouble.” Ryo replied, amused at the expression the younger had on his face. It was one of a sleepy and tipsy man, though on Kazuya it made him look fluffy and helpless. It made Ryo feel a bit funny looking at the assistant, thinking that he resembled someone whom he used to know before.

“I guessed as much, that’s why I’m still here and not in his bedroom sleeping.” Kazuya grinned sheepishly, but another yawn made its way.
“Then rest a little, I’ll help you hide from Jin for about half an hour if you want.” Ryo proposed, winking at the younger and shifting a little on the couch to look at him better, his back now turned to Jin and the others.

Kazuya’s face lightened up at Ryo’s suggestion and he nodded his head fervently as if he really wanted Ryo’s help. “I’ll go in his bedroom, I could really sleep an entire year.” The younger boy said, looking around the house as if he was searching for the room. “I’m grateful to you.” He turned to Ryo and smiled, it was a smile that was brighter than the sun. He yawned and stretched his body a little, similar to a cat. “Do you mind showing me the way?” Kazuya said with a slight bow, pretending not to know the place although he had been there the same day.

Ryo threw a glance at his right, at his left and then he turned to look behind him. Good, he thought, Jin was having fun and apparently he wasn’t paying attention to the two of them. He quickly rose from the couch and grabbed Kazuya’s arm, putting a finger to his lips to show the boy that he needed to be quiet - even if no one would have heard them because of the blasting music. They disappeared from the dancing and drunken bodies, Ryo still leading Kazuya by the hand and stopping for a split second in front of Jin’s bedroom, entering it in the next second to be sure that they won’t be seen.

Darkness surrounded them. “Lie down on his bed.” Ryo suggested as he searched for the light switch. “It will take a while for Jin to notice our disappearance, but I don’t think you have that much time.” He chuckled as he finally found the switch and pressed on it. The light fluttered twice, a sound was heard and the darkness fell over them again.

Kazuya froze. Okay, he could deal with a little dark knowing that light would soon follow, but not with total darkness. “Ryo…?” he asked with a shaking voice, showing fear in his tone. He turned from Jin’s bed and stretched his hands in front of him, wanting to see if Ryo was in his near sight. But he definitely didn’t move from that spot. “W-where are you?” he asked again, suppressing a whimper. No, he’ll fight fear, after all it was stupid that at twenty-six years old he should still be afraid of the dark.

“I’m here.” Ryo replied annoyed, pushing again on the switch but nothing happened. He cursed and promised to himself to beat Jin later for not having light in his room - even if it kind of was his fault because Ryo had been the one to blow it out. “Oh well, it doesn’t matter as you wanted to sleep, not to see yourself.” He then shrugged, only now turning to look at Kazuya, trying to adjust his eyes to the darkness and the slight light offered by the moon and the wide opened windows.

At the sound of Ryo’s voice, Kazuya calmed down a bit, though his heart kept beating as loud as it could. And only then he realized he had used the director’s given name, embarrassment sweeping over him. “You’re right.” He mumbled as he stepped back a little only to hit the bed and cause him to fall onto it. The suddenly yelp he gave accompanied the earlier shriek he let out because of the shock. He hated darkness, Kazuya mused as he was lying down in Jin’s tangled sheets impregnated with the actor’s smell.

“Are you okay?” Ryo asked, stepping towards Kazuya and looking at him with worried eyes.

“Yeah.” Kazuya mumbled from below, sinking into the fluffiness of the bed. “Thank God Jin likes them fluffy.” He tried to joke though it felt awkward seeing the situation they were in. “Do you want to lie down too? There’s plenty of space.” Kazuya suggested and the noise of the sheets as he shifted to make more space for Ryo filled the room. And as he waited for the director’s reply, he realized that the fear he felt at the beginning subdued and that he grew accustomed to the darkness. Was it all because of Ryo? Kazuya concluded that he wouldn’t despise that much this idea, after all his life-idol was with him.

Ryo didn’t wait for another invitation as he slumped into the sheets, burying his nose into the pillow and sniffling unsatisfied. He sighed and let his body fall more into the bed, sitting on his stomach and sneaking his hands under the pillow to hug it and bring it closer. “Jin will kill us if he sees us ditching his party.” He mumbled, his words coming a little hard because of the pillow stuffed on his mouth and his voice sounding a little amused as he imagined Jin entering the room with a mop and threatening to beat them both if they don’t come back immediately.

After all, this party was thrown in Ryo’s honor and for the success of his movie.

“We’re not ditching it, we’re just enjoying it in a different way.” Kazuya chuckled and took a pillow of his own to hug, enjoying the coolness of it. “And Jin is busy with his other guests, he won’t miss us that much.” He then added with a bit of satisfaction mixed with hidden irritation.

“True.” Ryo mused on Kazuya’s words. “That idiot wouldn’t notice what happens even if the world is ending.” He snorted, pretending to be annoyed even if it was clear that he wasn’t. “I’m sorry for you though, for having to stick up with him.” he added with a voice of consideration, as if Jin had brought to him the biggest problems of his life so he could perfectly understand Kazuya’s suffering.

“Well…it’s not that bad, actually.” Kazuya admitted with a small voice. “At first he was a bit weird with his attitude and we had our issues, but I had to give in after all.” He sighed and buried his head in the pillow, hugging it tighter. “It was like fighting against the wind.” The assistant added, thinking that from the beginning his meeting with Jin sizzled and left place for more to happen. And Kazuya was curious after all.

Ryo tossed in bed, fighting with the sheets and again cursing Jin until he finally managed to turn on his other side, now looking at Kazuya and watching his glittering eyes in the dark, being settled a little closer now. “We’ve all been in that situation.” He chuckled, thinking that he had wanted for a long time to beat Jin to a pulp until they finally became friends. And they were only five. “You just have to let him do what he wants and eventually hit him when he annoys you too much.” He shrugged a little, sounding serious and really meaning it.

Kazuya laughed a rich laugh, thinking of how many times he would have loved to whack Jin over the head. “Neah, I won’t hit him.” He said with a smile on his face. “He’s like a child and I love kids.” Kazuya shrugged and let go of the pillow now that it was warm. “But don’t tell him this, okay?” he then asked in a hushed voice like it was a secret between the two of them.

Ryo laughed and raised his hand, entwining his pinky finger with Kazuya’s and sealing their promise. He felt stupid and like a child by doing this, but he had moved instinctively and before he knew what he was doing, he was looking at the younger with a smile on his lips, feeling comfortable in the silence that had fallen on them.

But it seemed that it had been too comfortable because the silence had been broken in the next second by a loud sound and a bump to the door which opened with a slam, hitting the wall. Jin appeared in the doorframe and he looked a little too tipsy, but when his eyes settled on the two of them, something seemed to change. “What the hell are you doing in my bed?” he asked with an angry voice, stepping into the room and pressing the light switch. “Eeeeeh?!” he exclaimed after, a look of confusion on his face and stupidity in his voice.

“And heeeere comes the idiot.” Ryo rolled his eyes, forgetting to free Kazuya’s finger - instead he tightened their hold without noticing - as he turned a little to watch Jin who was watching them back with curious eyes now. “How much have you drunk?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at his friend.

Jin sulked this time and crossed his arms, looking offended at Ryo. “Not enough.” He proclaimed as he stepped further into the room, stopping in front of the bed, his back turned to the windows and blocking half of the light. He narrowed his eyes when he saw their joined fingers and puffed his cheeks in annoyance, a dark red slowly covering them. He didn’t say anything more as he crawled into the bed, making way between the two of them, slowly and carefully, nuzzling with his nose when he didn’t have space and forcing them to break apart to make room for Jin to sit in the middle of them. Ryo protested and cursed Jin a few times, but the young actor didn’t pay attention to him and just continued his task until he was finally settled between Kazuya and Ryo. He sighed happily as he finally rested his head on his pillow, studying the ceiling and giggling to himself like a fool, making his friend roll his eyes again even if he wasn’t moving from his spot.

Kazuya frowned at the sudden intrusion, wondering what the hell was going inside of Jin’s mind. “If you haven’t drunk enough, then why don’t you leave and drink some more?” Kazuya mumbled loud enough to have Jin hear him. And he was having such a great time, such a perfect atmosphere to fall asleep, but Jin had to ruin it. “Don’t you have guests to attend for?” Kazuya asked with a scolding tone like the one he used whenever Jin made a mistake at work.

“But you’re my guests too.” Jin replied as he moved his body again to turn towards Kazuya, casually throwing an arm on his waist like that was the most comfortable place to put it. “Besides, Ryo should go to them, they’re his guests even if it’s my house.” He added as he proceeded to kick Ryo in the shin, the director answering with an equally powerful kick only that he chose to use it twice.

Kazuya threw a glance at the hand resting on his waist and gently grabbed it to remove it away from his body. “His guests or not, you’re the owner of the house, you’re responsible for them too. Besides, Ryo was taking care of me as his guest.” The assistant replied with a tint of annoyance realizing too late that he had used for the second time the director’s given name.

Jin seemed to have gotten more upset because of Kazuya’s words as he stubbornly put his hand back, grabbing Kazuya’s hands and bringing the boy closer to him. “So what, if you rent a restaurant, this means that the owner has to take care of the guests?” he asked with a slightly annoyance in his voice. “And why are you special to him?!” he continued, pouting and trashing his feet on the bed as he didn’t seem to be too comfortable with Ryo kicking him at his every word.

Shocked at Jin’s touching, Kazuya’s hands went limp in the other’s grip as he looked with big and round eyes at the actor. It took him a while to realize that Jin had whined about him and Ryo having a special bond when the truth was that they were merely having conversation. “Who’s special to whom?” Kazuya asked with a small voice as he grabbed with his legs Jin’s restless ones. Really, sometimes he was too much of a child.

“You and that stupid friend of mine.” Jin replied immediately and yelped soon after being hit on the back of his head by Ryo.

Kazuya blushed and rolled his eyes, seeing how stupid ideas Jin could get into that big head of his. Of course he wasn’t special to Ryo, Jin didn’t have to brush it into his face! “I’m going to have a drink, my sleep is gone.” He said on a grimly tone. “Let got of me.” He then added through gritted teeth because Jin was still holding him, making his body so conscious of the other.

“You’re no fun.” Jin pouted again as he freed Kazuya only to give him time to raise himself from the bed, catching one of the boy’s arms again after and bringing him back with one hand while his other was pulling on Ryo, making both of them fall into his arms.

Great, exactly what he need - excess of manly love, Kazuya mused as he was squashed against Jin’s chest, inhaling deeply the actor’s scent, not to mention the other body that was brushing against him, their heads touching and their arms flailing in the air as they tried to get away from the I-wanna-love-you-guys Jin. And Kazuya started to tickle the actor, seeing that there wasn’t another way to free himself from such demonstration of love. “Now I’m fun?” he asked as he lifted his head and stared at the laughing face of Jin. Kazuya knew that he was smiling too.

“Let me go!” Jin shrieked, trying to escape Kazuya’s hands but failing and only managing to laugh harder.

“Want to see something really funny?” Ryo smirked with an expression plastered on his face as he approached Jin too and started to tickle the actor on his collarbones. It didn’t last long because at the first touch of Ryo’s, Jin screamed like a girl and flapped his legs, trying to run away from the two of them and succeeding on falling from the bed for the second time that day.

“Now that’s fun.” Ryo stated with a smug expression as he looked from above at Jin who was looking staring back with teary eyes and sticking out his tongue at his friend.

“Indeed.” A voice answered and the three of them looked at the door where Yamapi was watching them with a camera in hand, grinning wide and looking innocently.

Kazuya saw his brother behind Yamapi laughing his ass off and as he waved at the camera with a friendly smile he stretched a hand to touch Jin’s collarbone again, gaining the same reaction as earlier when Ryo had touched it too. “I think I’ve found something better than to hit him.” He looked at the director and smirked mischievously.

“Oh, I can teach you more tricks!” Ryo chirped happily. “Did you know that he…”

“Nishikido, shut the fuck up!!” Jin yelled to block Ryo’s words and jumped on the bed, attacking Ryo to get his revenge only that the young director kicked him hard and made him fall from the bed again.

Jin started to swear this time while Ryo and Yamapi laughed. Kazuya and Yuuya laughed with them, the former enjoying such a situation more than ever. “You really like falling off the bed, don’t you?” Kazuya asked Jin, his mouth stretching into a wide grin. “It’s your third time today.”

“Yeah, well, why don’t you try it too?” Jin replied annoyed as he moved a little and grabbed Kazuya’s feet to drag him out of bed, landing - of course! - on top of Jin.

“We’re repeating this morning’s incident?” Kazuya growled, lifting his body a little and passing his tongue over his teeth only for Jin to see.
“Only if you want to.” Jin replied with a slightly husky voice, whispering the words as he settled his hands on Kazuya’s waist to bring him closer so that no one else would hear them.

Now this was getting weird, Kazuya thought as he pushed Jin away from him, trying to calm down his heartbeat. Damn his acting skills, the assistant swore in his mind, brushing Jin’s hands off him. “Someone get this man a woman, he’s horny.” Kazuya announced to the public, throwing Jin an evil smirk.

“You don’t even know the half of it.” Jin also smirked as he rose suddenly and bit Kazuya’s neck hard, burying his teeth into his flesh and enjoying the squeals and gasps and flailing of the younger as he proceeded to flap his hands and legs like a girl, but not succeeding too much because of the firm grip of Jin’s hands on his waist. “Now this is the reaction that I like!” the singer exclaimed with a happy tone as he lied down on the floor, releasing Kazuya who was now looking at him with a murderous gaze.

If not for the unceasing bursts of laughter, Kazuya would have shown Jin what kind of reaction he liked to see on him. “Enjoy while you can.” He hissed to the actor and rose up not before passing a teasing hand over his collarbone and yearning a shriek from the actor. He looked at the others pleased. “Now… shall we proceed to the living or are we moving the party in Jin’s bedroom?” Kazuya asked, now really wanting to get away from the older, his throbbing skin from where Jin bit him still reminding him of the heartbeat he never got to calm down.

“Oh, I’m having the time of my life!” Yamapi hurried to say, pointing the camera at himself and waving at it with a big grin.

“I can’t say that I’m really bored either.” Ryo added with a calm voice, his lips curled up and obviously trying to suppress a laugh after he winked at Kazuya and congratulated him with unspoken words. “I haven’t…” he didn’t manage to finish his sentence as a shoe came flying towards him, hitting him in the face. Ryo blinked once. Twice.

“You lazy-asses, come and drink with us!” Yu cheered from the door as he looked innocently at the others, pausing a little on each one of them and winking at Pi when the camera settled on him.

And that’s when Ryo snapped.

“You son of a bitch!! Come here!!” he yelled as he left the bed and started chasing Yu who was now yelping and crying for help.

“I got to film this.” Pi mumbled as he followed them out of the room, signaling Jin to come to.

“Come on, let’s go and see how Ryo kicks Yu’s butt.” Jin laughed at Kazuya and grinned as the younger laughed too.
