what should emily do with her life?
i really am such a pessimist when it comes to figuring out what i want to do. i always think of the negative stuff about the job. soooo...i'm going to do a pro con list. feel free to add any that i don't think of.
Interior Design Pro:
-i love a good interior, i love fabrics and surfaces and all that good stuff
-would get to work with fun design people
Interior Design Con:
-i'm not a very good drawer, i would have to work on that A LOT
-might have to go to ccad which would be expensive
-finding a job where i can really do what i want might be hard (designing interiors of houses)
-would have to dress up everyday (petty, i know, but i really do think about this)
-i'm not very good at being creative when i'm forced to be creative

Graphic Design Pro:
-their job outlook for the next couple of years is really good
-i like graphics
-i think i would be good at concepts for ideas
-get to work with design people
Graphic Design Con:
-dress up
-not as good at executing my ideas onto paper/computer
-again, don't think i would want to go to osu's program, which might mean ccad and expensive
-i'm not very good at being creative when i'm forced to be creative

Psychology Pro:
-i've loved all of my psychology classes so far
-i know what it's like to be in the field b/c i've had therapy myself
-i know the most about it
-dress could be either dressy or kind of casual
Psychology Con:
-grad school is a must, and i don't know if i want to force myself to make that decision now by choosing this major
-not really working as a team, and i like being part of a team
-i don't know if i would enjoy hearing about people's problems all day long
-i would be scared i would tell them the wrong thing and then they'd go do something bad/not good for them

Elementary Education Pro:
-i like little kids-sometimes
-i would definately be part of a team b/c i would make my own little class my team and could create that environment
-i would be part of the community
-they love you
Elementary Education Con:
-sometimes i find little kids annoying
-it's a lot of work outside the classroom
-scared of parent teacher conferences
-scared b/c it's a lot of responsibility to get them to pass and go into the next grade
-scared to discipline
-just plain scared..lol

Secondary Education Pro:
-awesome schedule if i want to have kids-can be flexible
-would be part of the high school atmosphere again
-could be casual or dressy
-could coach volleyball at the same high school
-would only have to make a one lesson plan
Secondary Education Con:
-high school kids are scary. i would have to be really confident to not get walked all over
-i have no clue what i would teach

and the only reason i would want to do nursing is so that i could work on the maternity ward, and what are the chances that i could find that job when i graduate? if i didn't, i'd be doing stuff i prolly didn't like to do.
AND you should do this because it would help me: leave a comment naming one career that works with babies/toddlers.
i need so much help it's not even funny.
