King Lear
So... I've just read King Lear by Shakespeare. But the one I've read is not the original manuscript, it's the umm... manga version of the story so I don't know how accurate it is with the original

First I want to say that I love angst story, tragedy also included, but I can't understand why King Lear is called masterpiece from Shakespeare. Maybe someone can enlighten me how King Lear called masterpiece? Or maybe it's because me cannot get the full meaning of the story lol. I know this story have complicated plot and many character got involved. Well I'm enjoying the story and maybe will have more impact if I saw the play, I love stage play <3.
I can't understand why King Lear so mad at Cordelia for expressing his love toward his father in different way from his sister. His sudden decision to give all his kingdom to his children is the trigger of all the tragedy and giving tragic ending in the end of story. And Edmund is so great in deceiving people around him to the extend I want to kick him in face. But Kent loyalty to King Lear is the one touched me xD
Now I'm looking forward to read Hamlet since I read a little about the story in my English textbook, hope to find a book about it!
